Pink officiated the wedding of her longtime dancer and friend Khasan Brailsford and his partner Jason Silverman over the weekend at the Four Seasons Tamarindo.
The couple invited 115 guests, including the ‘Raise Your Glass’ singer, who has worked with Brailsford since 2012.
Brailsford shared that Pink was initially upset at not being included in the wedding plans, but eventually agreed to officiate the ceremony.
He told PEOPLE:
“We’ve been together for 13 years now, and I’m her partner. We’ve just gotten really close to where we’re like family. We take vacations together now…We asked our girlfriend, Tracy, to do a speech and then I had asked other people on the tour, and we were just talking to them about details, but I knew we were going to ask her to be our officiant. Then she actually started getting [a little jealous]. She was like, ‘Why are you only talking to Tracy about the wedding? I want a job’. It became a thing, and Pink was like, ‘Wait, hello? I thought we were closer.”
But the engaged couple wanted to wait for the right time to pop the question to her. That time came on the dancer’s 40th birthday, his partner explains. Silverman shared:
“I came to Atlanta for Khasan’s 40th birthday, and she was hosting a little thing, and she was like, ‘Why don’t you guys come over?’. We jumped on it, grabbed a bottle of wine and we went over with a card and then we just properly proposed to her to be our officiant. We were all screaming like little girls. And the next day, we were on tour, and she announced it to everyone like, ‘You guys, I have a job at Khasan’s wedding. He’s trusting me to do this.”
The now-married couple first met during Pride in 2015 after being introduced by mutual friends. They instantly hit it off and were in a lengthy engagement before walking down the aisle.
