Shawn Mendes has unveiled a new tour to commemorate a decade since his debut on the album charts.
The 26-year-old Canadian singer first made waves in 2014 with his debut single Life of the Party, which served as the lead track from his 2015 album Handwritten.
Now, ten years after his breakout, the chart-topping artist has revealed plans for the On the Road Again Tour to mark the milestone.
In a statement, the Stitches singer shared, “I feel like time away has allowed me to come back and recognise and remember how unbelievably special it is to get to play live shows.
“It’s an honour and I’m just beyond grateful that you guys keep showing up after 10 years with so much love.”
The tour will begin on 2 August in Kosovo and will include stops in cities such as London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Munich, Boston, Toronto, New York, Chicago, Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and more.
Running until 17 October, this marks Mendes’ first major tour since he cancelled his Wonder: The World Tour in 2022.
Shawn Mendes has chosen MARO and Lubiana as supporting acts for the European leg of the tour, while Eddie Benjamin will accompany him in North America.
Posting on Instagram, Shawn Mendes said, “I came across MARO’s music a few years ago and she immediately became one of my favourite artists. To be honest, I’m pretty beside myself that she’ll be joining us.”
Back in 2022, Mendes surprised fans by pulling the plug on his planned 87-date Wonder: The World Tour after just seven performances, citing mental health challenges.
He later returned to the stage in 2024 with a limited six-date For Friends and Family Only tour in support of his most recent album, Shawn, which dropped in November.
