Police confirmed that the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday in the city’s bustling Wholesale District, near the Indiana Statehouse. The confrontation left Sanchez with stab wounds and the older man with serious facial injuries.

Police later confirmed that Sanchez is facing multiple misdemeanor charges, including:
Authorities stated that Sanchez was still hospitalized as of Saturday but listed in stable condition after initially arriving in critical condition. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office is expected to make the final decision on formal charges.
Neither Sanchez nor his representatives have released a public statement regarding the incident.
