Fresh reports have emerged following the recent injury scare for France and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe during the international break.

Real Madrid have received a major boost as star forward Kylian Mbappé has successfully completed medical examinations in Madrid, with results confirming no serious injury. The French international underwent precautionary tests following discomfort sustained during international duty, but scans revealed no significant damage.

According to reports, Mbappé’s condition is not considered severe, and he is expected to rejoin full training with the Real Madrid squad next week. This comes as welcome news for Los Blancos fans and head coach Xabi Alonso, who were initially concerned about the attacker’s fitness ahead of a demanding run of fixtures.

Kylian Mbappé has also been ruled out of Monday’s World Cup qualifier against Iceland after aggravating a right ankle injury sustained while playing for Real Madrid. The French Football Federation confirmed that Mbappé, who scored in Friday’s 3–0 win over Azerbaijan before being substituted following two heavy challenges, has been released back to his club and will not be replaced in the squad.

His absence adds to France’s growing injury list in attack, with Ousmane Dembélé, Desire Doué, Marcus Thuram, and Bradley Barcola also sidelined for October’s qualifiers. Despite his efforts to continue through discomfort earlier in the week, discussions between Mbappé and coach Didier Deschamps led to the decision to rest the forward as France aims to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup without their talisman.

Mbappé, who joined Real Madrid earlier this year, has already made a strong impact in La Liga and the Champions League, showcasing his trademark pace and clinical finishing. His return will further strengthen Madrid’s attacking options as the club continues its push for domestic and European glory.

With medical clearance now confirmed, Mbappé is expected to resume preparations with his teammates at Valdebebas in the coming days, as Real Madrid look to maintain their unbeaten run in all competitions.
