Former Big Brother Naija housemate Angel Smith has made a blunt confession about her reality TV journey, admitting that she regrets ever taking part in the show.
The 26-year-old shared her thoughts during a recent question-and-answer session with fans on social media, where she was asked directly if she regretted joining Big Brother Naija.
Her response was short and unmistakable:
“Hell yeah.”
Angel explained that the loss of privacy and constant public scrutiny became overwhelming after the show.
“Everyone always in my business,” she added.
Reflecting on why she entered the competition in the first place, Angel admitted she didn’t have a clear or compelling reason at the time.
“Omo nothing o, idk who sent me message sef,” she said, suggesting the decision was impulsive rather than carefully planned.
Angel first rose to fame during the Shine Ya Eye edition of the show and later returned for the All Stars season. Both appearances significantly boosted her public profile and opened doors in entertainment, media, and brand opportunities.
However, this is not the first time she has spoken about her complicated relationship with fame. In earlier interviews, Angel described feeling deeply misunderstood by the public, saying online reactions to her posts were often harsh and emotionally draining.
“I think I am the most misunderstood,” she once said.
Despite her regrets, Angel has also acknowledged that BBNaija played a major role in shaping her career trajectory. In a previous post, she expressed gratitude for the exposure.
“Almost a year since I stepped on that stage and I’m grateful they gave me the platform.”
