Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has clarified that she does not consider herself a single mother despite her separation from her estranged husband, 2Baba.
Taking to her Instagram page, the movie star explained that she sees herself as a single woman raising two children, rather than a single mom.
“I’m not a single mom. I’m a single woman raising two kids,” she wrote.
Recall that in late January 2025, 2Baba publicly announced via Instagram that he was separating from Annie and had begun divorce proceedings, stating that their marriage had not been working for a long time.
Weeks after the announcement, he introduced Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru as his new partner.
Following the separation news, Annie briefly removed her husband’s surname from her social media profiles before later restoring it.
The couple got married in 2012 and share two daughters, Isabella and Olivia. Throughout their 13-year relationship, they faced significant public attention and personal challenges.
Annie is currently responsible for the custody and upbringing of their two children.
